While the Edmonton Oilers were having a eventful day surrounded by Spider Mable, we saw how awesome Edmonton truly is. The whole city stood behind Mable as she searched for captain Andrew Ference. It was amazing to see how a whole city, composed of a mayor, professional hockey players and citizens, all worked to make this girl’s dream come true.
While that was happening though, a key piece of news went underreported. The team is ready to name a new captain.
