CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University men's basketball senior Yusuf Jihad became the first player in program history to earn four Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors as he has been named 2024-25 Academic All-MAC, the league announced Friday, April 4.
His achievement marks the first time an Eagle men's basketball player has earned multiple All-MAC accolades in 49 years.
Jihad (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington/Oakland) collected the 20th academic award all-time from the MAC for the program and is one of four Eagles to earn multiple accolades. He joins Dan Hoff (1975 and 1976), Walt Jones (1975 and 1976), and Trent Perry (2015 and 2016) as the four players that have earned Academic All-MAC at least twice in a career.
