YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University Head Women's Golf Coach Josh Brewer continues to build his roster for the 2024-25 season with the addition of senior Amaya Melendez (Ann Arbor Mich./ Pioneer) today, June 20.
Melendez, a student at EMU for the past three years, joins the golf team after an impressive academic and athletic tenure. Recently, she reached the final four in the 108th Michigan Women's Amateur Championship at Plum Hollow Country Club, notably defeating the defending champion. Her high school career at Ann Arbor Pioneer was marked by consistent excellence, earning all-state honors each year and leading her team to multiple state championship appearances.
