Women's Golf Moves Up On Day Two of Kiawah Island Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team ascended seven-spots on the leaderboard Monday, March 1, at the Kiawah Island Classic, as the Eagles shaved 17 strokes off its opening round total. Eastern posted a 306 in the second round of the three-day event at the par 72, 5,958 yard Oak Point Golf Club. Overall, EMU resides in a three-way tie with Longwood and Lipscomb for 30th-place with a 629 (323-306).

Sophomore Olivia Loberg (Bend, Ore.-Summit) and freshman Anna Watson (Ashland, Ohio-Ashland) led the charge, carding career-best rounds of 72 and 75, respectively.
