NORTON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country program placed 10th with 311 points at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, hosted by the Cleveland Sports Commission and Mid-American Conference (MAC), at Silvercreek Metro park Friday, Nov. 15. The men's squad placed 14th with 427 points.
Paige Marchant (London, Ontario/Catholic Central) led the way for Eastern Michigan in the women's race with a 15th-place finish in 19:59.2. Marchant's 19:59.2 time stands as the fastest time from an Eastern woman in a 6k at the regionals meet. With her 15th-place finish, she earned all-region accolades for the first time in her career after just missing out as a freshman, coming in 26th one season ago.
