JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team placed 10th at the Battle In Beantown in Jamaica Plain, Mass. Friday, Sept. 21. The Eagles ended with a team score of 254 points, edging No. 11-ranked Providence College (257).

EMU's 10th-place finish is also one place better than where it finished the last time the Eagles took part in the Battle in Beantown, as they placed 11th with a team score of 267 points.

Leading the Eagles for the second consecutive meet was senior co-captain Sydney Meyers (Zionsville, Ind.
