DEKALB, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team never led and struggled to find its momentum as it fell in a Mid-American Conference affair to Northern Illinois University, 75-66, tonight, March 3, inside NIU's Convocation Center.
The setback drops Eastern (10-8, 7-6 MAC) to the No. 8 overall position in the upcoming MAC Tournament if the event were to start today, while it puts Northern Illinois (12-10, 10-7 MAC) up into the No. 7 position. The two teams were flipped ahead of today's contest. Both teams have one regular season game remaining, which will be critical for final seeding before the tournament begins next Wednesday, March 10, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
