CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University track & field program saw freshman Saraiah Walkes (Manatee County, Fla.-The-Out-of-Door-Academy) earn Mid-American Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, announced the league office today, April 13. For Walkes, this is the first weekly MAC award of her career and is the first Eagle to earn the distinction in the outdoor season.
The first-year student-athlete recorded a personal-best 100m dash time of 11.83 at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, April 9.
