YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team fought back after losing the first set to secure a 3-1 win (16-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18) against Miami University this afternoon, Oct. 15, inside the Convocation Center.
The conference victory improved Eastern Michigan's record to 8-11 overall and 3-5 in Mid-American Conference play.
The Eagles were led by a double-double from sophomore Samantha Basham (Granville, Ohio-Newark Catholic), who registered 15 kills and 17 digs on the day. Redshirt freshman Krista Blakely (Detroit, Mich.-University High School Academy) also added a career-high 17 kills to help the offense.
