CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team was picked to finish sixth in the Mid-American Conference West Division in a vote by the conference's 12 head coaches, the league office announced today, Aug. 24.
In-state rival Central Michigan was selected to win the MAC West with 63 points and was also picked as the regular-season champion with five first-place votes. Following the Chippewas was Ball State, which earned 60 points and three first-place votes. EMU's other in-state rival, Western Michigan, tallied 49 points and was selected third, while Toledo earned 36 points in the fourth position.
