SPARKS, Md. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University lacrosse program saw two signees receive national honors, announced USA Lacrosse, in incoming freshmen Avery Schwab (Dublin, Ohio-Dublin-Scioto) and Samantha Stephens (Versailles, Ky.-Woodford County).
"It is very exciting to have two of our inaugural class of players recognized for their achievements on and off the field," said Head Coach Alicia Groveston Jackson. "We know how special they are, but it is amazing to see that USA Lacrosse appreciate it as well."
Schwab picked up two USA Lacrosse honors, being named an Academic All-American and a recipient of the Jackie Pitts Award as an attacker in the Ohio-Central region.
