Three Teams Earn APR Public Recognition Awards From NCAA

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf, women's golf, and volleyball teams received NCAA Public Recognition Awards Tuesday, May 12, for their exceptional work in the classroom as part of the NCAA's Academic Performance Program. The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams nationally. This is the eighth straight year that volleyball has been honored, while it marks the fourth time in the last five seasons for women's golf. Additionally, men's golf makes the list first-time since 2005-06 and the third time overall.

The awards are given annually to teams scoring in the top 10 percent in each sport with their Academic Progress Rates (APR).
