YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's men's basketball team saw itself lose its fourth straight game Friday, Feb. 10, when the University of Akron put on a lights-out three-point shooting display at the Convocation Center, connecting on 18 triples. The Eagles (13-12, 5-7 MAC) ended up on the wrong end of an 87-76 decision as the Zips (21-4, 11-1) picked up their league-leading 11th Mid-American Conference victory of the season.

Sophomore James Thompson IV (Baton Rouge, La.-Parkview Baptist) continued his exceptional season donning the Green and White, putting up 19 points and grabbing 14 rebounds on his way to his 14th double-double of the 2016-17 campaign.
