NORMAN, Okla. (EMUEagles.com) — Three members of the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholars, the Golf Coaches Association announced Wednesday, July 25. Earning the honor for the Eagles were Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.-Hartland), Tyler Lewis (Ortonville, Mich.-Brandon-Mott CC), and Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary).
EMU's three selections were tied with Ball State University and Kent State University for the most in the Mid-American Conference.
A total of 265 Division I student-athletes were dubbed All-America Scholars. To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an NCAA Division II player must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.
