YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team battled to the end, but was unable to climb out of an early deficit as the Eagles fell to visiting Oakland University, 5-2, Feb. 1, at the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti. The Eagles (2-3) saw their 13-match home winning streak end with the loss to the Golden Grizzlies (1-2).
"We definitely finished strong today, (we) just dug ourselves too big of a hole," Head Coach Ryan Kucera said. "I am proud of the way we fought to the end, but we need to make it a priority to bring better energy and urgency from the start of the match.
