GRANVILLE, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team won the Denison Invitational with 2,223 points Saturday, Dec. 7. The Eagles claimed eight wins and added 10 times to the program's top-10 performance list on the final day of racing.
Junior Alyssa Shugarman (Oswego, Ill.-Oswego) made an NCAA 'B' cut in the 1,650 free with a time of 16:27.88. In addition, the time set a new Trumbull Aquatics Center record and landed as the third-fastest time in program history.
Senior divers Brielle Johnston (Ottawa, Ontario-Catholique Franco-Quest) and Sophia Tsafantakis (Washington, Mich.
