CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University volleyball senior Franki Strefling (Niles, Mich.-Buchanan) was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today, Feb. 15. The honor is the first for Strefling in her career.
Strefling, an outside hitter, tallied 42 kills in two matches at Northern Illinois, Feb. 11-12, which included a career-high 23 kills in the series opener against the Huskies. She boasted a .327 hitting percentage (42-9-101) in eight sets and averaged 5.75 points and 5.38 digs per set.
