YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University softball team returned to Mid-American Conference play Friday, April 1, at Varsity Field. Hosting the Bowling Green State University Falcons, the Eagles (12-19, 2-3) dropped both legs of a doubleheader, snapping a two-game league win streak. EMU fell 8-1 in the series opener before a comeback fell short in game two, as the Falcons (14-20, 2-3) took the second game 5-4.
Junior Michelle Kriegshauser (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln Way Central) served as a bright spot in EMU's game one loss to the Falcons, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate, while a pair of Eagles hit homers in game two.
