BUFFALO, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team returned to action for day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships today, Feb. 27, and witnessed junior Alyssa Shugarman (Oswego, Ill.-Oswego) win her first career MAC title at the University at Buffalo Alumni Arena Pool. As a team, the Eagles moved up one spot and sit in third place with 178 points. The University of Akron continues to lead the field with 295 points.
Claiming her first individual MAC title, Shugarman earned an NCAA 'B' Cut, as well as set a new Alumni Arena Pool record with a 4:44.
