YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Karen Schiferl has been named the Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Support Services at Eastern Michigan University, Vice President and Director of Athletics Heather Lyke announced today, Jan 4. Schiferl brings more than 25 years of NCAA Division I experience to EMU.
"We are thrilled to welcome Karen and excited about the level of leadership, expertise and integrity she brings to our leadership team," Lyke said. "Our student-athletes and staff will benefit greatly from having the opportunity to work with her."
In her new role, Schiferl will be part of the department's executive staff with oversight of academic services for all of EMU's 21 Division I sports.
