PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's rowing team travels to the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, Penn. to compete in the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta Friday and Saturday, May 10-11. The regatta marks the team's last regular season event on the water before racing in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships Sunday, May 19.
The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta is regarded as the largest college regatta in the United States, bringing boats from more than 100 colleges and universities around Northern America to compete in the annual event.
EMU will send one Novice Eight boat to race in the Frosh/Novice Heavyweight Eight event, competing against 18 boats from universities such as the Ohio State University, Purdue University, as well as squads from CAA-foes Villanova University and the University of Delaware.
