TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing team opened the 2016 spring season with a dual meet versus the University of Alabama, Saturday, Feb. 27. The Eagles participated in 10 races with three different boats.
The Green and White did not win any of the ten races but Head Coach Kemp Savage was pleased with his team's performance against the stiff competition.
"It was great to be part of the first race of the collegiate season," Savage said. "The races with Alabama gave us a really good indication of our speed after a hard training week.
