CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University rowing team concludes its fall competition, Saturday, Nov. 3. as the team travels to Chattanooga, Tenn. to take part in the 36th Head of the Hooch. This will be EMU's ninth time contending in the regatta, where they will race nine boats.
Since 1981, the Head of the Hooch has been one of the world's largest rowing regattas, with 2,000 boats racing over the two-day competition. Participants come from over 200 different clubs, racing head-to-head in a 5,000-meter (3.1 mile) route on the Tennessee River, ending at Ross' Landing Park in Chattanooga.
