Rowing Completes Day One at Head of the Hooch

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University rowing team raced through tough conditions on day one of the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, Tenn. Saturday, Nov. 4. The Eagles raced a total of six boats, registering four top-20 finishes.

In the Championship 8+, the Eagles took 12th and 17th, after the race was delayed due to weather conditions. EMU's A boat finished with a time of 17:07.04, edging out boats from Old Dominion, Jacksonville, Alabama, North Carolina, and Oklahoma.

The Green and White posted another 12th-place finish in a field of 38 boats in the Novice 8+, as the Green and White crossed the finish line in 19:32.
