Bell released this statement via his Twitter account, “I would like to thank Eastern Michigan for everything they have done and all the support. Sad to say but I will no longer be attending EMU.”
Bell is a native of Los Angeles, Calif. where he played at Dorsey High School, and just concluded his red-shirt sophomore year at Eastern Michigan.
Bell was widely known for his elusiveness and speed at the quarterback position, but injuries caused a rotation of starts between him and teammate Brogan Roback over the 2015 season.
As an Eagle, Bell played in 17 games over two seasons at EMU.
