TAMPA, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – For the second time this season, Eastern Michigan University defensive end Jose Ramirez (Lake Alfred, Fla.-Auburndale-Arizona-Riverside City) has been named the Breakout Player of the Week by the East-West Shrine Bowl, the organization announced today, Nov. 28.
Ramirez previously earned the honor after a following his historic, four-sack performance against Western Michigan University, Oct. 8.
Ramirez put together another outstanding day in the opponent's backfield against the Chippewas of Central Michigan University Friday, Nov. 25, in EMU's regular season finale. The defensive lineman dropped CMU's quarterbacks three times, just one shy of his single-game high 4.
