NILES, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Stagnant offense defined the day for the Eastern Michigan University baseball team as it dropped a midweek game against Youngstown State University today, April 1, at Eastwood Field. Eastern (11-33-1, 6-12 MAC) fell behind, 2-0, early on and was unable to recover, eventually falling, 10-4.
On the hill, freshman Tyler Koons (Flat Rock, Mich.-Gibraltar Carlson) started the game for the Green and White. After relinquishing two runs in the first inning, Koons was composed in the second and kept the Penguins off the board. In all, Koons tossed four innings.
