CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — For the first time in his career, redshirt senior Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.) of the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team was named the Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday, March 22.
Multer, who holds a 3.83 GPA in accounting, did his best to help rewrite the record books, as he finished tied with Duke's Alex Smalley for the runner-up spot at the GCU Invitational, March 17-18. Multer posted a personal-best 204 (69-66-69) to shatter his previous low of 213 set earlier this season at EKU Intercollegiate.
