ALLENDALE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team began their 2018-19 campaign, Friday, Dec. 7, at the GVSU Holiday Open in Allendale, Mich. The Eagles saw success in their first meet of the season, as both seniors Tyler Underwood (Clinton, Mich.-Clinton) and Zach Harkey (Huron, Ohio-Huron) opened up the season with two of the best performances seen in Eastern Michigan track and field history.

Harkey's throw of 19.74m meters, good for first-place, marked the fourth-furthest weight throw in program history.
