NORMAN, Okla. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team earned President's Special Recognition by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
To be recognized by the GCAA, teams need to achieve a GPA of 3.0-or-better. With EMU's team GPA being above 3.5, they were among the 56 other Division I schools that received the President's Special Recognition.
The team garnered success on the course and in the classroom, posting a 2019-20 season average of 291.8. The total ranks third-best in school-history. Additionally, EMU notched four tournament top-five showings as a team and broke the 54-hole school record with a 20-under 832 at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, Sept.
