NORTHVILLE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team will take on the Detroit Titan Invitational Saturday, Sept. 8 in Northville, Mich. This year's invitational serves as the fifth consecutive season EMU has competed in the event.
"The Tommy Titan is a chance for us to gain more competitive experience for our team as we continue to identify our opportunities for improvement," said EMU Head Coach John Goodridge.
Last year, Eastern opened the season in Northville, where it placed third with a final score of 87 points. Goodridge used the meet as an opportunity to give the newcomers experience running at the collegiate level, as all eight Eagle participants were freshmen.
