CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University baseball pitcher Justin Meis (Pittsburgh, Pa.-Bethel Park) has been named the Mid-American Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today, May 17. Meis shares the honor with Anthony Fett of Akron.
The Pitcher of the Week honor is the first for Meis in his career, and first for the Eastern Michigan staff since teammate Scott Granzotto earned the award April 8, 2019.
Tossing the most innings by any Eagle over the week, Meis went 2-0 on the mound in victories over Toledo, May 11, and Northern Illinois, May 15.
