(EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team blanked its third opponent of the season with a 4-0 victory over Lawrence Tech University Wednesday, April 25, at Oestrike Stadium. The Eagles (15-22, 8-7 MAC) defeated the Blue Devils (23-18, 11-10 WHAC) in the first meeting between the two programs since 1950.
Freshman Luke McGuire (Shelby Township, Mich.-Stevenson) pitched a career-high eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits while setting a personal best with seven strikeouts. At one stage, McGuire retired 14 consecutive batters en route to his second win in as many starts.
