CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Just one week after earning the honor for the fifth time, junior distance runner Jordann McDermitt (Davison, Mich. - Davison) of the Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team was selected once again as the Mid-American Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today, Feb. 14.
McDermitt broke yet another record for the Eagles this past weekend at the Iowa State Classic, Feb. 10. This time, McDermitt did it in the 5000m run invite, finishing second and crossing the finish line in a career-best 15:50.
