Maxx Crosby Named MAC West Division Player of the Week

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Following a stat-stuffing performance this weekend, junior defensive end Maxx Crosby (Colleyville, Texas-Colleyville Herritage) was named Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week. The league office's announcement, Sept. 24, marks the third consecutive week an Eagle has garnered a MAC weekly honor and the second honor of Crosby's career.

Crosby led the Eagles with a career-high eight tackles at San Deigo State, Sept. 22, including 2.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles-for-loss. It marked the fourth multi-sack game of his career.

His disruption in the backfield was a crucial part of Eastern Michigan's stout defensive play in the second half, as EMU held San Diego State to just 100 yards and a field goal in the second half.
