CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field program saw junior harrier Baldvin Magnusson (Akureyri, Iceland-Hull University) named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today, March 2.
Magnusson produced one of the most dominant track performances in Mid-American Conference history with his effort at the MAC Indoor Championships, Feb. 25-26. On Friday, the junior qualified for the 800m finals (1:53.65), then went on to capture the 5000m (14:21.21) crown less than two hours later.
