CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University soccer team was predicted to finish seventh in the Mid-American Conference in the league's coaches poll, the conference office announced Wednesday, Aug. 15.
Kent State was tabbed the preseason favorite for both the regular season and tournament championship. The Golden Flashes' 134 points and eight first-place votes put them atop the poll, followed by Ball State and Bowling Green. Buffalo, Central Michigan, and Toledo were slotted fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively, while Ohio, Western Michigan, Akron, Northern Illinois, and Miami rounded out the standings behind seventh-ranked EMU.
