CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team was selected to finish fourth in the Mid-American Conference West Division as the league office announced its 2018-19 preseason poll Wednesday, Oct. 30. Additionally, redshirt junior Corrione Cardwell (Cleveland, Ohio-New Tech East) was named to the preseason All-MAC West team.
Central Michigan, receiving four-of-12 first place votes, was the predicted MAC West Champion, followed narrowly by Northern Illnois, which also received four first place votes but accumulated one less total point in the poll (59), and Toledo. Just behind Eastern (35, one first place) was Ball State with 30 points, while Western Michigan (18) rounded out the rankings.
