YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University soccer program saw (London, Ontario-A.B. Lucas Secondary) score on a beautiful running header, but it was not enough as the Eagles played visiting Central Michigan University to a 1-1 draw Thursday, Sept. 22, in both sides' Mid-American Conference opener. The Eagles (1-4-3, 0-0-1 MAC), who were playing on the new artificial turf installed at Scicluna Field for the first time this year, fired 21 shots overall and 12 on frame as the Chippewas (1-5-2, 0-0-1 MAC) scored in the 65' to force the eventual draw.
How It Happened
The Eagles were on the front much of the match as was evidenced by a 21-12 shot advantage on the day, including a 13-4 lead in the first half.
