Late Rally Spurns Eagles at Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team led for the first seven innings before a late rally wound up being the difference in a crushing 6-4 defeat to the University of Michigan Tuesday evening, May 1, at Ray Fisher Stadium.

The Eagles (16-25), grabbed a lead in the second inning and did not relent until a four-run frame from the Wolverines (26-13) in the eighth.

EMU received a solid start from freshman Luke McGuire (Shelby Township, Mich.-Stevenson) who took a no decision after going the first five innings, allowing only two runs on two hits with five strikeouts.
