YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team dropped a 4-1 decision to the University of Dayton Tuesday, April 16, at Oestrike Stadium.
With the score knotted at one heading into the top of the ninth, redshirt junior Caleb Hester (Coloma, Mich.-Coloma) retired the first two batters he faced, but the Flyers (20-16-1, 8-4 A-10) broke through for three unearned runs to split the season series against the Eagles (8-28-1, 3-9 MAC).
Redshirt sophomore Jeff Timko (Rochester Hills, Mich.-Brother Rice) extended his hitting streak to 10 games, finishing 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a pair of singles, and a stolen base.
