NEW YORK (EMUEagles.com) — The John Mackey Award has named redshirt freshman Nigel Kilby (Fort Wayne, Ind.-Northrop) as its Tight End of the Week, today, Oct. 5. The first-year tight end had a career game in EMU's 28-25 win over Bowling Green State University, Oct. 1.
Kilby finished the contest as EMU's leading receiver, notching career-highs with 92 yards on five receptions and a crucial touchdown, which gave EMU a 21-10 lead. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native is Eastern's leading receiver this season with 256 yards on 15 receptions and three scores.
