CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University sophomore punter Jake Julien (Barrie, Ontario, Canada-North Collegiate) was named Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 16 the league office announced Monday, Sept. 17.
The honor is the first weekly MAC accolade of Julien's career, while it is the third of the season for the Eagles. Additionally, it is the second consecutive week in which EMU has had a player named the conference's top special teams player as Chad Ryland garnered the distinction last week.
