YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University junior track and field athlete, Jessica Harris (Slidell, La.-Slidell), earned Mid-American Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors for the period ending Jan. 14. This award was earned for her impressive performance during the Wolverine Invitational, Jan. 13, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is the first weekly conference award earned by Harris.
The Slidell, La.-native took first in the 60m dash, crossing in 7.51 to earn her first event title of the season, before going on to place second in the 200m run with a time of 24.
