EAST LANSING, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team made the short trip west to No. 17/21 Michigan State University for its 2019-20 lid lifter, tonight, Nov. 5, at the Breslin Center. A back-and-forth affair in the early going, the Spartans eventually took control, besting the Eagles, 85-50, in their season debut.

On the home court of the Spartans (1-0, 0-0 Big Ten), it was the Eagles (0-1, 0-0 MAC) that looked ready for battle to begin the game.
