(EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team began its four-game roadtrip with a 87-72 win over Purdue University Fort Wayne at the Gates Sports Center Saturday, Dec. 8. EMU fed off its best offensive performance of the season, knocking down a season-high 12 three-pointers, to take control of the game en route to the Eagles' fifth win of the season.
For the first time since Dec. 18, 2015, Eastern Michigan (5-2) saw five players reach double figures. Sophomore Courtnie Lewis (Belton, Mo.-Belton) led the way with a game-high 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting, highlighted by six triples.
