JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team senior jumps specialist Nick Herbert (Portage, Mich.-Portage Northern) finished his career donning the Green and White with the third-best triple jump in program history Saturday, May 23 at the NCAA East Regional Championships hosted by University of North Florida.
Herbert earned a 14th-place finish in the event, clearing 15.50m on his third and final attempt. His leap was .22m better than his previous top-collegiate effort and moved him ahead of former Eagle Terry Beauford for third in the EMU record books.
