CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — For the second week in a row, Eastern Michigan University kicker Jesús Gómez has earned a share of the Mid-American Conference's Special Teams Player of the Week award following another outstanding performance. Gómez was instrumental in helping the Eagles (2-1) defeat Jacksonville State University, 37-34 in double overtime, Sept. 14, in the team's home opener.
Gómez led the Eagles in scoring with 13 total points as he was 3-of-4 in field goal attempts, including 2-of-2 in overtime, and 4-of-4 in PATs, bringing his season total to 8-of-9 field goals and a perfect 6-of-6 in PATs.
