CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Mid-American Conference announced its 2018 women's tennis all-conference team Thursday, April 26, and Eastern Michigan University tennis senior standout Ani Gogvadze (Tbilisi, Georgia-Khikhani) was named first team for her oustanding senior season.
Gogvadze played the entire campaign as the Eagles' No. 1 singles player, putting together a stunning 20-2 record in the spring season. The Tbilisi, Georgia native finished the regular season on a three-match win streak, went 6-2 in MAC play, and won her first 16 matches of the season.
With the honor, Gogvadze becomes the first Eagle to earn a spot on the All-MAC First Team since Klara Supejova in 2015.
