CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University junior swimmer Casey Gavigan (East Setauket, N.Y.-Ward Melville) was named Mid-American Conference Co-Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday, Nov. 14. The junior is the first EMU swimmer to earn conference weekly honors this season.
Gavigan was a key piece of the effort that moved the Eagles to 4-0 for just the seventh time in history with a, 190-110, win over Oakland University Saturday, Nov. 10. Gavigan swept the Backstroke events for the third meet this season, and has earned the top finish in every event she has entered this year.
